Description
The Compass 3Dplus is a 50-size, nitro-fueled RC heli from Compass Model of Hong Kong. The helicopter is a carbon fiber and aluminum, pod-and-boom construction, completely made over, 120° CCPM, new generation of the company's venerable Knight 3D model.
Design improvements over its predecessor include:
- 300 grams lighter than the Knight 3D
- New rotor design
- Increased cyclic speed
- Improved engine cooling system
Carried over from the Knight are the proven belt driven tail, easy assembly, and easy maintenance.
The kit comes 80% pre-built and includes the preassembled carbon fiber frame set, a preassembled and reinforced main gear, a preassembled main rotor head which uses an aluminum head block and plastic blade grips, a preassembled tail rotor, metal gear case, and a painted fiber glass canopy.
In order to complete the kit, the addition of all radio equipment, a 50 to 57-size glow engine and a set of 600-620mm rotor blades is required.
