Description
The Atom 7HV by Compass Model Ltd is an all new design as of 2011 and, as the name implies, is designed on their Atom platform. The helicopter will be a 700-class (90-size), li-po-powered, electric machine.
Notable design features include an automatic belt tensioner, a sliding battery tray, flybarless optimized design, and a high-center of gravity. Cyclic servos will feature a direct-to-swash configuration and the head assembly will be an all-metal design. The frame-set will be carbon fiber with an aluminum tail and aluminum tail supports.
The main rotor diameter is 1560mm, height is 403mm, length is 1372mm, with an overall flying weight of 4300-5100 grams. Recommended main blade size is 690-710mm. The Atom 7HV is designed to be powered with 12S lithium-polymer battery (2x 6S packs) with a total capacity of 4000-6000 mAh. Recommended main blade size is 690-710mm.
