Brand Overview

The BP Hobbies brand is a line of RC products for the remote control hobby industry.  The brand is owned and managed by BP Hobbies LLC of Hillsborough, New Jersey, USA.

The BP Hobbies brand encompasses a wide variety of products ranging from RC modeling adhesives, electronics such as aircraft lighting kits, hand tools such as knives and pliers, test equipment, to RC airplane kits and accessories.

BP Hobbies airplane kits consist primarily of four product groupings:

  • BP Fun Foam Model Kits
  • BP Small Field Built-up ARFs
  • BP Large Built-up ARFs
  • BP Hobbies TM Pro ARFs

BP Hobbies Fun Foam Model Kit product line offers the RC shopper a nice assortment of simple, but nicely done foamie airplanes that are all electrically powered propellor driven products with a few ducted fans mixed in.

The BP Small Field Built-up ARFs are a group of BP fliers that are electrically powered propellor driven aircraft with a single non-powered slope glider in the mix.  Planes in this category are mostly made of built-up balsa wood frames and plastic covering.

The BP Large Built-up ARFs line of BP Hobby kits, like the Small Field Built-ups, are constructed of built-up balsa wood.  These kits, however, typically have larger wing spans and larger power system.  Power systems include both electric and two/four-stroke glow engines.

The TM Pro line of BP Hobbies airplanes is rounds out the brand's product offering with a mix of electric and glow airplanes, all of which are made of balsa and plywood construction.

Products are distributed through the manufacturers network of established retail shops, both online and walk-in.  Additionally, BP Hobbies sells directly to the retail consumer through their website (www.bphobbies.com).
