Extreme Flight is a brand of remote control airplanes that is marketed to the RC hobby industry. The brand is owned and managed by Extreme Flight RC of Cumming, Georgia in the USA.
Extreme Flight branded RC airplanes are mostly completed to an almost-ready-to-fly (ARF) level prior to shipment. The modeler then has the task of selecting the power system and radio equipment and then assembling the kit's major airframe parts and selected power/radio components. All kits are constructed of built-up, laser cut, balsa wood and plywood structural components and Ultracote colored coatings (factory applied).
Extreme Flight kits come in two main power configurations including gas/glow and electric. The product line-up consists of a nice assortment of each type. The brand's kits can be purchased in stand-alone ARF format or they can be bundled with a power system (an IC engine gas/glow aircraft and an brushless outrunner/ESC combo for electrics) for an overall cost savings.
The offering of Extreme Flight airplanes consists mainly of scaled down models of today's full size stunt airplanes and overall the kits range in wingspan from 36 inchs up to 125 inchs. Both the gas and electric categories of kits include models of the Extra 300, the Yak-54, Yak-55, and Edge 540. Each category also has one or two different kit variations like the Yak-54 Profile ARF in the electric category, the Yak-55 SP Profile ARF and The Outlaw flying wing in the gas category.
