Trex 600 Electric

Brand: Align
Manufacturer: Align Corporation

Description

First introduced in 2006, the Trex 600 Electric by Align Corporation is a 600-class (50-size) electric RC helicopter.  The electric 600 was one of Align's earlier product offerings.  Originally, the kit featured a blue anodized aluminum head block with plastic grips and mixer/washout arms.  Servo to swash connections were all push-pull type, the frame was a two-piece carbon fiber design with plastic main bearing blocks and an aluminum tail boom.  The tail assembly was an all plastic design with a belt drive.

In the years since its introduction the heli has undergone refinement.  Most notable of the changes are the refined servo-to-swash linkage system (although still push-pull/bell-crank), motor and ESC upgrades, an all-metal head, and a torque tube tail.  Today's Trex 600 Electric is designated the Trex 600 ESP.  The product offering consists of:

  • All metal main blade control system,
  • High quality pre-painted fiberglass canopy
  • CNC machined main gear
  • High speed thrust bearings in tail blade grips
  • Redesigned collective control arms
  • High efficiency torque tube drive system
  • 2mm high strength low weight carbon frames
  • Carbon Fiber Tail Blades
  • Fully Driven Tail Auto Rotation System
  • Rear Tail Servo Mount
  • 10mm Hollow Main Shaft with 8mm Spindle

The Trex 600 Electric is available in two kit versions, both of which are flybarred.  The difference in the kits is the coloring of the aluminum anodizing -- one kit comes with blue anodizing and one kit comes with black anotizing.

Kits are sold including three Align DS610 swash servos, a single Align DS620 tail servo, an Align GP780 single-axis tail gyro, an Align li-po battery for radio power, a brushless outrunner motor, an Align 100 Amp ESC, and an Align BEC.

The completed helicopter model has a main rotor diameter of 1350mm, a length of 1160mm, and a flying weight of approximately 3300 grams.
